Austin is involved in all aspects of M Group’s real estate investments, including sourcing & underwriting, structuring & capitalizing, managing design & development, and sales & disposition of all of the company’s real estate. He works with the team overseeing a diverse portfolio including multi-family and for-sale residential real estate across the United States, several warehouse and industrial properties, as well as some hospitality and hotel developments. The total portfolio encompasses almost ~3,000 units of housing and ~4 million gross square feet across all property types.

Prior to M Group, Austin worked on approximately $3.3 Bn worth of real estate transactions and development across the United States. Austin worked at Hines for nearly 7 years on the residential team in New York City, focusing on development opportunities in multi-family housing, for-sale condominiums, single family rentals, and mixed-use product types. Prior to Hines, Austin was on the investments team at ATCO Properties, a vertically-integrated commercial real estate company, where he worked on commercial and residential investments in the NY metro area as well as across the Southeast of the United States. Austin began his career at GLJ, a privately-owned Manhattan-based owner/developer/operator with a focus on value-add multifamily and mixed-use investments.

Austin graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University, and received an M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University. Austin is an active member of Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, NY Private Equity Network, and also an Adjunct Professor in the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.
